The Creation of Adam

Okay.

So I want to compare this chapter to the fresco of the Sistine Chapel, The Creation of Adam.

And y- if you think of the spotlight of that scene, of the two arms reaching out and the two fingers almost touching, but if you look closely, there's a little gap between God's finger and Adam's finger.

God is stretching forth as far as he can, but Adam is kind of leaning back lazily, his hand is limp.

I thought it was The

Creation of Adam.

Oh, The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo.

Very famous painting.

And from what I've really quickly gathered it's supposed to be this painting that gives off the energy of god creating life and he's giving man free will and here's the start of that and they do not even blur out the dong in this so you know what whatever it's shadowy but it's yeah

And today I want to talk about a very famous painting from Michelangelo that's on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

And it is entitled The Creation of Adam.

And I'll share this.

I'm sure you have heard about or seen this screen this screen, sorry, I'm trying to share my screen and talk at the same time.

I'm sure you've seen this painting.

This is the creation of Adam by Michelangelo.

And so what I really want to direct your attention to here is that we have this representation of God here on the right, on my right.

There's the great hand of Christ outstretched that calls Matthew, and that hand may look familiar.

It's the same hand that reaches out on the Sistine Chapel ceiling toward God the Father in Michelangelo's creation of Adam.

It's the hand of Adam.

Jesus, the new Adam here.

It's called Adam.

creation of Adam, and I think it captures perfectly what God is doing.

I'm not sure if I agree with how Michelangelo has depicted God as this kind of bearded dude, but you can see that God is stretching out with everything he has and every muscle and ounce of energy to touch not Adam but humanity.

And humanity sits back, as we still do in 2026, with a limp hand reclining and going, oh, well, maybe.

It's an allegory for how the ego works and deceives you into surrendering your will into sin.

In this video, we're going to be discussing the esoteric interpretation of the creation of Adam painting, which is found in the Vatican Museum, Sistine's Chapel, in the Vatican City, which is located in Rome, Italy.

This is a famous painting, you've probably seen it before, but we're going to be decoding it because there is a lot of hidden esoteric knowledge in this, which we need to understand.

And it's going to take your understanding of yourself on a way deeper level.

First of all, this is about the creation of Adam in the beginning of Genesis.

In esotericism, we understand all is mind.

Sorry for getting sidetracked here, but on my way home that night, driving on the highway alone in my car, I see a, a bright, near-perfect circle, a yellowish moon right there, and there's two puffs of clouds where their edges are extended out, kind of like touching each other at the tip, and the moon is precisely hovering at the top of the cloud to the right as if it were someone's head.

And immediately it made me think of Michelangelo's fresco in the Sistine Chapel, The Creation of Adam.

You know that picture, The Creation of Adam, where God and Adam are reaching out to each other, touching fingers? Yeah, that's the one.

It looked just like that, where the moon was God's face.

And The Creation of Adam actually symbolizes the connection between mankind and the divine.

So I see this in my car, and I would have taken a photo of it if it weren't too dangerous, but that reminded me of God and my connection to God.

So there was a little moment there.

And I really like those.

But the flashiest choices are the one of Cohen and Blind Io as a parody of Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam.

Yeah, that was a great one.

But the best one, the best one you write, it's that Bayeux Tapestry.

In today's gospel passage from chapter six of Luke, a man with a withered right hand approaches Jesus for healing on the Sabbath.

And Jesus says to the Pharisees who are watching him, I ask you, is it lawful to do good or to do harm on the Sabbath to save life or to destroy it? As we consider these two very different scripture readings, I recall the fresco of the creation of Adam.
