The Cowgays

Fairchild built all those spaces into his own East Nashville studio.

That's where he's filmed particularly playful content with the queer country trio, the Cowgays.

In their songs and videos, they aim to amplify the campiness of 90s country music.

I don't know if it was perceived as campy then, but it is now, you know? And I mean, there was just drama and

just wind in the hair.

Fairchild shot one of the Cowgays' new videos in his staged diner.

with all three group members exaggerating their exasperation at their judgy puppet clientele.

A tongue-in-cheek spin on familiar imagery.

This band is called...

The Cowgays, called Been Done, Did That.

And I like their stuff, so you're going to hear it on 3CR, 855am, digital, 3cr.org.au, and 3CR On Demand, Out of the Pan with Sally.

MUSIC

And I have to thank a friend, Lisa, for this one.

I sort of stumbled on, she sent a bit of the clip and, and I kind of stumbled onto it, and I don't know why I have not connected with this band before, The Cowgays, and it's a great clip, and they've got all sorts of great clips and great songs, and this song is called Being Done Did That, which just absolutely, as a person of loving love, Pan genres, music of all genres, was absolutely awesome.

So let's give that a whirl, have a couple of messages and come back and close our conversation and the show with Tia and Sam.

You're on Out of the Pan with Sally, 3CR Digital, 855am, 3cr.org.au and On Demand.
