would have had to have at the at the very least not only been isolated to drug trafficking as far as his criminal background which we'll get into into detail uh in at least i think great detail greater detail than is being explored on the surface level of these public media you know uh at at least presentations you know that that are attempting to i think skirt skirt the real questions that should be asked and not necessarily prioritize those, which would ultimately expose that very sinister playbook that we've seen so very often as far as that hidden hand, that very clear and overt footprint of the intelligence community.

um and yes john is not wrong the dude the car harder than cameron diaz in in that film uh with javier bardem which uh yeah i know that's disgusting to say but there is a scene unfortunately that exists in a film with with cameron diaz and and it is um i believe a ridley scott film It's called The Counselor, I think it is, with Brad Pitt in it and a few other.

I mean, you look at the cast, you would think that this was like an actual good film.

But man, from my recollection, I only watched it the one time.

And, you know, I just fell in love.

Do you understand what Raymond R.C. Horsch just technically confessed to experiencing as his first sexual encounter was with the tailpipe of a 41 Ford that his father owned, I believe, that used to convulse in a sense.

So he was basically presenting a physical motion that was that of penetration uh i guess in a sense what's the term uh um it would create it clearly created the movement necessary for him to effectively masturbate and this this is what he's describing obviously is having sex with um the exhaust pipe of a car that's the only thing that i can imagine this explanation truly was and so this is this is the this is yeah i i know i i in no way imagined when i was describing that scene from the counselor with cameron diaz that this effectively was not a fictionalized yeah better than the cameron diaz scene hey as far as the way in which He just navigated this plot in terms of introducing the sexual encounter.

Yeah, I'll say it was far more entertaining in a sense, but disgusting and a reflection of who this sadistic personality truly was and how he developed over time.

guys have... that kind of if you had that relationship with a movie or something where at first it's sort of funny to go to bat too much for it and then you start to love it because I do that I did that with Alita Battle Angel that's another like

the counselor is my version of that a movie that I remember actively hating like when I first saw it in theaters and then I just kept then I like saw the director's cut and then I just kept returning back to it and then like read more Cormac McCarthy and was like Is that movie kind of a masterpiece? And now I'm like one of those psychos that's like, that might be in conversation for Ridley Scott's best movie.

I assume it was Jay, vibe-wise.

I really loved The Martian.

I really loved The Counselor, even though people hate that film, but I saw the director's cut.

Kingdom of Heaven, the director's cut is great.

Black Hawk Dawn, I need to re-watch that because I'm sure it's...

So so there's more to it than just doing movies like The Snowman and The Counselor.

The Counselor used to be one of my bottom five movies, but then so many bad movies came out in that period that it got dethroned just by default.

It

was sad because that movie was Cormac McCarthy.

Is his muse and Robin Hood again didn't really kill it at the box office, but not a bad movie, you know It's it's a rewatchable movie and then here's where I get and I think it's fun is like I love Prometheus 2012 I was so happy we got back to the Alien universe.

Yeah, I love that movie and Prometheus is good But he cranks out movies Jason from he goes he has Prometheus in 2012 and Then he does The Counselor, which I don't know if a lot of people saw.

This was Javier Bardem, Michael Fassbender, Cameron Diaz.

It's a really, actually really gory, gross narcotics.

Well, I put this way.

If you want to see it might be a more violent version of Michael Mann.

That's the counselor because it reminded me a lot of Michael Mann.

Yeah.

I am gonna go with a movie that I, I think if I'm remembering correctly, I, like, pretty much hated [laughs] when I first saw it, and I did not...

I was like, "I don't understand why what's happening is happening," and it took some repeat watches, and it took some further reading for me to grow to appreciate the 2013 film, The Counselor.

I don't know if I ever mentioned this on this show, and I apologize if I have, but one time before our kid was born, Marissa and I were in a resort in the Bahamas, and Ridley Scott's The Counselor was out, so I would not be deterred.

So I was, we were like, we also didn't like have that much to do.

It's just like, you're just on the beach and stuff.
