Brian IbbottHOST
45:57
All right, that's Mr. Sandman.
Travis CrawfordGUEST
45:58
Mm-hmm.
Brian IbbottHOST
45:59
And I can never remember if it's The Andrews Sisters or The Lemon Sisters.
Brian IbbottHOST
46:02
I think that was The Andrews Sisters.
Brian IbbottHOST
46:04
[buzzer] Ah, well [laughs] guess the other one, Scott.
Travis CrawfordGUEST
46:09
Scott's gotta get it.
Scott JohnsonHOST
46:09
Well, that's the question.
TravisPANELIST
44:23
Mm-hmm.
Brian IbbittHOST
44:23
And I can never remember if it's The Andrews Sisters or The Lemon Sisters.
Brian IbbittHOST
44:26
I think that was The Andrews Sisters.
Brian IbbittHOST
44:29
[buzzer] Ah, well [laughs] guess the other one's got it.
TravisPANELIST
44:34
Scott's got it.
Scott JohnsonHOST
44:34
Well, that's the question.
Scott JohnsonHOST
44:35
I wouldn't know any other way, so I'll say the Lemon one, The Lemon Sisters.
Scott JohnsonHOST
44:39
[buzzer] [laughs]
SamHOST
42:02
Yeah, but yeah, I uh, I think i'm gonna go with the the organ grenade As my favorite the fart thing's only good if they're close up and once you get a bunch of enemies with weapons It's not as useful but Early on obviously like it was it was good or like some of the crowded areas Especially if you can do that and get like four guys munched and then turn into zombies.
BlaineHOST
42:22
Yeah so also while you're going through the police station and everything there's this chief guy named chief masters and he makes a comment to you that he's going to find you and he's going to dance on your grave and then when you come across him in his office he utters that line again and he's extremely literal when he says that because at that point now the game turns from a game where you're running around and killing humans and turning them into zombies to now being a dance-off style game where you're on like this you're in the middle of the room and then the room basically turns into like a simon says style matching memory game and this is where I feel like the budget for the music went because they have the songs like Mr. Sandman or Lollipop and a few other songs like that like obviously I feel like songs that would be popular at this you know era of the 1950s but yeah just like it was kind of interesting to see like oh they they meant this literally but like as far as like the dance sequence goes also i will say i uh near the end i kept it up but
SamHOST
43:36
it really doesn't matter but they luckily they let you skip this in case you're bad at because it is it is kind of rough as far as like a random rhythm game in this yeah like i just i kept on messing up so i'm like i'm just gonna skip this part thankfully let you do that which is funny because you can just skip a full-on boss fight
BlaineHOST
43:54
well i mean like either way like even if you like he beats you in this dance off stubs does like a little sneaky thing where he attaches one of his organs to him and blows him up of course because it's what stubs is going to do best he's going to kill everybody Now, around this point, it's either before or after, you'll get introduced to another character.
Dom McGovernHOST
3:22
[laughs]
Dan WyeHOST
3:22
Do you know what I mean? Sandman, Sandman.
Dan WyeHOST
3:24
Is it Sandman?
Dom McGovernHOST
3:24
Candyman.
Dan WyeHOST
3:25
Candyman.
Dom McGovernHOST
3:26
[laughs] Sandman, Sandman.
Dan WyeHOST
3:27
Mr. Sandman, give me a dream.
Dom McGovernHOST
3:30
Bum, bum, bum, bum.
Sarah ChalkeGUEST
9:51
Tell us about the different versions, because you had a couple different songs that were hard to pick between.
Zach BraffHOST
9:56
Well, we did a version of Mr. Sandman, because that was funny.
Zach BraffHOST
10:02
And it was very funny.
Zach BraffHOST
10:03
They were both very funny.
Zach BraffHOST
11:22
Like those were owned by Dick Wolf, I assume, but a separate entity.
Zach BraffHOST
11:25
So like it took up until the very last second.
Zach BraffHOST
11:28
So we almost had to switch it back to Mr. Sandman.
Zach BraffHOST
11:32
But when we looked at them both, they're both funny, but it's just so random.
BradHOST
53:35
I just love the whole town square.
BradHOST
53:37
I love Mr. Sandman playing when he goes to the diner and he's so confused and he sees his dad there.
BradHOST
53:43
And I just I think the whole setup there when he first gets back is so perfectly done and great that I really that's what I ended up picking here.
GiffHOST
53:53
Yeah, and that's a great answer too.
BryanHOST
51:12
Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do.
BryanHOST
51:16
Mr. Sandman.
BryanHOST
51:17
Yes.
KittyGUEST
51:18
Ah.
Mark DavisHOST
34:36
But I went looking for 1952, just for the heck of it, in the way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way back machine.
Mark DavisHOST
34:42
Found the Cordettes, who did the sort of the first big hit version of Mr. Sandman.
Mark DavisHOST
34:48
These harmony-driven ladies, 1952, Carolina Moon.
Mark DavisHOST
34:55
We will let them waft us into the 8 o'clock hour.
