This man is an actor in one of my favorite shows.

You may know him as Nook from The Chi, but he's also been in several other projects, including Please, Predators, Perfect Murder, Scheming, and Loyalty Over Trust.

The one and only Cortez Smith.

Like, I've probably seen every episode, some of them twice, three times.

So, just to give some context for it, Soul Food was a cultural touchstone that was written and directed by George Tillman Jr. based on his own Chicago family proving so massively to the box office that it spawned a historic TV drama series that ran for five seasons.

Now, I know people didn't watch The Chi, but did you watch Soul Food when it was on TV?

and somebody had pointed out you know he has a character named Emmett on The Chi and The Chi you see him in this character he has all these kids from different women it's just so bad but then he meets a woman he gets married don't work out and you just see him grow as a man and at the end of the show like spoiler alert but You know, he's like the man he's supposed to be.

He's a family man.

And he commits to the woman that he wants to be with.

She was on a lot of stuff.

She's on The Chi forever.

She was on a lot of shit.
