The Challenge: USA

Um, loved everything about it, and just, and, you know, wish it could've been more full teams and could've been a little more interesting.

Um, but like the eating challenge, the thing we gotta talk about is at the very end of episode eight, we get Cassidy versus Izzy in an elimination, and Cassidy is someone that I really enjoyed on her season of Survivor, really enjoyed on The Challenge USA two, I believe.

Yeah, she was on season two, and was really pumped to have in the main flagship series here on this season, and that we hadn't got to see a lot of in the early parts of the season, but I just kept banging the drum of, like, I know she's a great cast member, I know she's a g- really good competitor, but I also think she's a really good cast member, is interesting, is entertaining, will stir it up, will do all the things.

And so we finally start to get to see a bunch of her.

You know, Wes did his big post about Chris, uh, comparing Chris, you know, as another Casey that's just really good at the games but isn't, isn't infallible in that one and provides nothing on the show side.

I don't know that I agree with nothing on the show side.

I would not compare him to Casey, but, uh, lacking maybe, yeah, he certainly rests on, "I'm really good at all this, and I've won the two shows I've been on before." But he has won the two shows he's been on before, and he had won a bunch of eliminations in the Challenge USA season that he went on to win, including over Wes, and he had been sitting really good until, uh, all this carnage happened around him on this season.

And this is officially the first time he has lost anything in the history of his reality t- television career.

So I want to hear-

And then we'd get to see him on, uh, uh, Challenge USA for one episode.

Yeah.

[laughs]

As expected.

Her next elimination was against someone on Challenge USA, who I do not remember, and I don't think we've ever seen again.

She won.

Her next one was against Cassidy.

Chris and Cassidy comes from Survivor.

They did Challenge USA season two together.

And I just thought he would send Adrian.

I did not know.

And, um...

I wasn't surprised like Cassidy won.

I was happy because she's elimination queen from Challenge USA too.

So I figured that she was going to win that.

Listen, our Survivor Recaps on the royalty have improved dramatically since having Miss Claire Rafis.

We were not officially a Survivor podcast until we got Claire because we literally did not know what we were talking about.

And I remember joking with Owen, who was also in my season, and he also won three individual immunities.

And we were like, oh, my God, maybe we'll be on the next season of the Challenge USA because they had just started letting a bunch of survivor players on.

And so we had joked about that.

And then I actually got the call to be on Challenge USA because I think of my performance and the challenges.

I think when I'm like under pressure and it's like an individual sort of like game, I do really

well.

Jeff Kent bitching about having to pay taxes reminded me of when Tyson went on the challenge.

the watered-down CBS version called Challenge USA.

He did interviews afterwards about it, talking about how they told everyone it was a prize of $250,000, and he was already pissy about that because Survivor had a prize pot of $1 million.

But he still did it thinking it might lead to other paychecks.

W- uh, so f- what do, what do we think is, like, the next iteration of The Challenge? Do you think The Challenge is going to...

We've consolidated to just one show, which it used to be Challenge USA, a- they were, they were, they were doubling down on it for a while.

Yeah.

It was Challenge USA, All Stars, and then, you know, regular.

Um, we're now just one show.

I, I hope that doesn't mean anything bad for the show.
