and um and this is like this kind of music this is more like a skate skate punk uh type of thing so it's appealing to like the the skateboard crowd um and uh so yeah so that kind of music really wasn't really wasn't getting a lot of mainstream attention um even the biggest like you said even the biggest names in in punk rock at the time like i'm thinking like black flag or like bad religion those guys still had to work regular jobs even though they were known it's just the money wasn't just wasn't there and they still had to work a regular job

Yeah, which sort of reminds me of, you know, the song The Boys of Summer.

It just makes the the idea, you know, the dead head sticker on a Cadillac.

And then there was another band that I can't remember which band it was that actually covered the song, but they were more of a punk band.

The story was that it was the first electronic drum machine that was, I think Don Henley heard.

Somehow he was experimenting with it, Mike Campbell was, and Don Henley heard the drum track, or was sent to him, and he wrote a song around it, wrote The Boys of Summer around it, and then they went to go record it.

Right.

And the programming that he did into the drum machine, like, it worked.
