The songs of Sabbath sacrifice were found not only at Qumran, but at a synagogue in Masada, about 30 miles away.

Other Second Temple period texts, like 1 Enoch and Testament of Levi, demonstrate the practice of calling out to the holy ones, angels, and departed righteous humans.

By the time we get to the 200s AD, we have thousands of Christian catacomb inscriptions directly addressing departed righteous like St. Peter and St. Paul.

The catacomb of St. Sebastiano is of particular interest because it was sealed off in 320 AD, leaving hundreds of Greek and Latin prayers to saints on the walls.

And I grant you that apocalyptic writings, you know, probably sound a little strange to a lot of people today, but it was a fairly common form in that day.

And there are many writings from that time period, like 4th Ezra or the Book of Enoch, either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.

And These were all books that made use of what? Well, I would say natural phenomena like lightning and hail, sometimes animals, right? In a metaphorical or figurative way.

And when we add to that, the use of numbers.
