How I feel, you can't compare it because they're showcasing incredible bodies that play professional sports.

Um, some people were like funny, but then majority I'm like, you're looking at like, to me it comes off more, I don't want to say like scientifically, but I'm, I'm looking at incredible bodies, meaning like these are Olympians, professional athletes.

Just saying it out loud feels really weird, right? And I don't know, is this any different than ESPN's The Body Issue, which, you know, it celebrates nude and it's sort of the athletic form.

It's software pornography.

Just call it what it is.

You know, what's interesting is the double standard displays that a woman has a right to dress how she wants until doing so doesn't serve the current cause, at which point that becomes a setback.

Like, I don't know.

If one one does it, it's celebrating like ESPN, the body issue.

Well, that's celebrating the athlete.

That ad immediately sparked widespread backlash from female athletes who are now accusing Sweeney of somehow setting back women's sports.

uh sky nicholson a boxer out of australia wrote these companies need to do better stop sexualizing women in sport uh the athletic also came out with a new op-ed uh recently saying the recent rise in female af or female sports stars did not occur because they uh balanced inexplicably in the nude atop a basketball hoop their power arose from being undeniably talented at their sport Sweeney responded to all this backlash by posting photos of the female athletes who have literally posed nude for ESPN's The Body Issue.

And all of this, of course, comes after Sidney Sweeney's ad for American Eagle, which also prompted a lot of backlash.

What do we think, guys? Are Sweeney's football boobs a slap in the face to female athletes? Well, Bridget has to start
