The Blood of Heroes

He did the making of Soldier.

He's done one on Salute of the Jugger and the Russell Mackay Dolph Lundgren film Silent Trigger.

So they've been on recently as well.

And I had Greg Henry.

... uh, you know, even the, the really, uh, like, I mean, obviously he was in Ladyhawke, which is a great film.

But he was also in shitty movies that I loved anyway, like Wanted Dead or Alive, and The Blood of Heroes with Joan Chen, and like, all these-

Nighthawks.

You ever see Nighthawks with Stallone?

Yeah.

I, I think if I could go back and, or if not go back, but moving forward, if there's something that comes from Obscuria and that I could like do a remake or re-imagining, it's a, it's a Rutger Hauer movie, Joan Chang called Blood of Heroes.

And it, if you've never seen it, seek it out.

It's like post-apocalyptic and, It is so poignant to the times we're in now.

And it's, I think it's David Peebles wrote it and directed it.

So like, it's got this pedigree that is absolutely insane.

And you know, before podcasts, before we could do these things, I was a young TV director and I got sap aside Rutger at a dinner and And all we did was talk about Blood of Heroes for the entire night because he's like, you saw that? And he was so giving of his time, answered every question I had about the process, regaled me with several other stories I never even would have thought to ask.

And it's just it's one of those films that everyone was like, it's not Blade Runner.
