The Big Texan Steak Ranch

the big giant, I think it's 72-ounce steak.

That's the, uh, Big Texan Steak Ranch.

Big Texan, yeah.

Yep.

It's just so cool, and so I would lo- I would want them to experience that.

You know, people sleep on Big Texan, but it is a experience.

Like, if you've never experienced it, it, it's worth taking somebody to.

Um, but also, like, some of my local favorite places, like breakfast, I love Over Easy.

They stayed a week.

They went to Potter Canyon.

They did the Big Texan.

And so I, I would love to see us become, like, more of a destination place.

I drink your milkshake.

I'm 17 and peeling off his rental tux jacket, the windows of his mom's hatchback fogged from our fevered make-out.

I'm 19 and belting a hammy off-key rendition of Candle in the Wind from the passenger seat as billboards count down the miles to the Big Texan Steak Ranch.

He laughs so hard there are tears in the corners of his eyes.

I jab the metaphorical pause button before I get to the less happy memories and spring out of bed.

Um, every day after that is less than 400 miles.

The first day is the Cadillac Ranch and the Big Texan Steakhouse.

Uh, the second day is another automotive stop.

Basically every day, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, there's an automotive or content cool place to get a picture of your classic car.

Remember when they would...

They had the Big Texan, the steak for... 72-ouncer, the old 96er.

[laughs] If you ate the whole thing, they gave it to you free.

Same deal at Kendall's in Noble.

Okay.

It's called The Big Texan.

It's very famous.

The Grand Texan.

The Big Texan.

Yeah.

And it's a landmark in West Texas.

A lot of meat.
