The Big Give

Again, it gives you an opportunity in one place to collaborate for the purpose of strengthening those nonprofit entities.

And then there's some other things that the Columbus Foundation has done uniquely, Rod, from the standpoint of elevating philanthropy with special events, the Big Give.

Yes.

The big table where you bring people together to talk about some of the pressing issues in the community for the purpose of perhaps coming together to come up with solutions to those gifts of kindness, of fun that allows random.

Three Rivers Giving Big to Nonprofits.

Three Rivers Credit Union has selected eight nonprofit organizations as finalists for the company's Big Give initiative, advancing the organizations to a public voting period to determine which three will be selected as a $75,000 grant recipient.

The initiative will award a total of $225,000 to eligible nonprofits working to address community needs across Three Rivers service areas.

Public voting runs through November 4th.

Yes, well-

What is that, and what are we doing?

Well, uh, we just announced it, and we want everybody to pitch in and give non-perishables, food, you know, all that kind of thing, starting October 15th through November 30th.

You may remember last year we launched Lexington's Big Give in partnership with, um, God's Pantry, and we had barrels at all the fire stations.

We had them at police roll call centers, uh, Fayette County Clerk, Sheriff's Office, Government Center.

It is coming up into the holiday season, and a lot of people are hungry, Jack.

Um, but yeah, the organization's been around for 35 years and, um, and so, uh, we're very proud of what we do.

Uh, we've got the Big Give coming up, um, in December, and we also have, um, a, uh, and, and that's a, a project where people donate Christmas presents, um, of all types.

You know, you could give a, a, a soft toy or you could give some money or whatever, and we distr- redistribute it back out to people in, in need.

Yeah, so the Big Give happens in December, in early December for a week and a half or two weeks.

Um, and, and so that, that's a really big deal that's coming up.

And we also have a, um, a golf tournament, a charity golf tournament, um, out at Stoke, uh, which was extremely successful last year.

Um, yeah.
