So the psychiatrist not only suggested that you look into what happened with your son after you were separated, but he also, or they also suggested that you look into your own experience as well.

So at some point you connected with post-adoption support at the Benevolent Society in New South Wales.

Yes.

How important was that support? And can you sort of tell us a bit about what happened?

There's schools.

There's the Benevolent Society.

There's the Australian Mutual Providence Society.

It has a Christian foundation to it.

Closer to home, though, you mentioned the Benevolent Society, which continues to do great work.

That's not the question here.

What's not easy to get is any other help.

I mean, 40 hours a, a year for carers through Carers Gateway, which for us was the Benevolent Society, it's just not enough.

There's all these carers behind closed doors really struggling with no contact with the outside world.

I mean, I don't know how they manage.
