It's so good.

We are talking about murder, morally gray characters, and modern anxieties, and I wanna start with a show that absolutely blew my mind when I read the premise, FX's The Beauty.

Oh, this project is practically engineered to generate intense cultural discourse.

It is based on a brilliant graphic novel series from Image Comics by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, and the premise is this aggressive blend of sci-fi, police procedural, and pure body horror.

It totally is.

It blurs the line between the fiction of the show and the reality of the industry she represents.

So i- so is The Beauty basically the darkest possible commentary on modern influencer culture and our obsession with aesthetics? Because looking at it, it feels like Ryan Murphy is just taking our real-world paralyzing obsession with anti-aging and cosmetic procedures and weaponizing it.

Yeah, he's blowing it up.

It's really worth a watch, isn't it? Yeah, it's really, really good.

I think, because I really liked Ryan Murphy's recent work, The Beauty.

I thought that was a great series.

It was on Disney+.

Cause I think that's him.

Um, Jeremy Hahn, uh, creator of the beauty, uh, murder podcast, uh, His new book, The Folk of Dooney Hollow, is awesome.

We're going to talk about that.

The Beauty, they turned into a TV show.

He's the creative director at Ignition Press.

The list just goes on.

The dude is quite prolific.

I meant to check out Shards.

I did not get a chance with all the research I was doing for American Horror Story, but it is on the list.

His last one, The Beauty, I very much enjoyed.
