The Audacity to Podcast

What value is podcasting? Thank you for joining me for the Audacity to Podcast.

I'm Daniel J. Lewis.

It is International Podcast Day today, September 30th, 2026, on the day that this episode is publishing.

You provide something of value that people actually value and they can give you value back.

That can be direct support through your podcast.

Like you can support the audacity to podcast at the audacity to podcast.com slash give back and give back whatever you feel like it's worth to you.

You could earn income by selling something that could be your back catalog episodes, bonus episodes.

It could be time with you.

Is it time to leave WordPress? [upbeat music] Thank you for joining me for the Audacity to Podcast.

I'm Daniel J. Lewis.

WordPress has a special place in my heart.

The URLs change as you g- go around to different places.

The only thing that's different between the pages is the data.

Take The Audacity to Podcast, for example.

If you go to the show notes for this episode at theaudacitytopodcast.com/leavewordpress, the page will load, and the data populates that page, showing you the title and the notes and the episode, download information, the metadata, and all of that for this episode.

If you then go to a different page on the website, like an older episode Then WordPress is loading another page.

Certain catalogs are very exclusive, like the Chinese catalog.

Not even the Audacity to Podcast is listed in the Chinese store for Apple Podcasts, even though, I don't know, maybe it's just because I'm patriotic or something.

But for whatever reason, it's not there.

A lot of stuff isn't there.
