The Ames Brothers

They've all done it.

joss stone opens her new christmas album with a piece of it and elton john even recorded a version for an atlanta radio station about 25 years ago but there's a lot more music for the night before than just the poem of the night before christmas gene autry has the night before christmas song which he recorded with rosemary clooney in 1952 and the Ames Brothers covered it about five years later.

Some 40 years after that, Carly Simon wrote and recorded a song called The Night Before Christmas.

That was 1992, and that year it was also recorded and released by Amy Grant.

It's, it's possible.

The Ames Brothers, actually.

Ed Ames, Tomahawk.

Met him once.

The little serenade.

Ed, Gene, Vic, Joe, the Ames brothers from 58 didn't do much for them on the charts, but kind of fun.

When we come back, we jump up into the 60s with Bobby Goldsboro, Aretha Franklin, and Peggy King.
