The 4-Hour Chef

So investing in myself and investing in my relationships were really the safest investments I can make.

And, uh, A couple weeks later, as I was kind of continuing to try to do these dinners, Tim Ferriss was coming out with a book called The 4-Hour Chef.

And I was lucky enough to meet him a year prior.

But he was the first big-name author to almost get banned from all retail distribution.

And then two months later, I had, uh, this is November of 2012, I had an opportunity to do an event with Tim Ferriss that kind of fell in my lap.

Uh, he was coming out with a book called "The 4-Hour Chef," and it turned out he was gonna be banned from all retail distribution.

So Barnes & Noble, Walmart, Costco, everyone.

And the reason for that is he was the first big name author to publish through Amazon, and the traditional publishing world almost wanted to make an example out of him.
