There's no point threatening the full might of the law if we don't believe that the criminals will ever be caught if the criminals don't believe that.

If the criminals don't believe that even if they are arrested, they will stay in jail, they might escape, Thabo Bester, I mean, hello.

And even if they're kept in jail, the NPA and others have botched so many slam dunk cases, why would they even believe that they're gonna end up with long sentences? And so, you know, we always try to keep it to some degree hopeful, optimistic, and light.

But, like, this is the moment in the, in, in our emotional response process to this story where we have to just sit through correctly feeling horrified and feeling awful and feeling terribly sad.
