Now in funny, yeah, real shame, real bloody shame.

In Funny Car, JR Todd kept his title hopes alive by defeating points leader Matt Hagen with a 3.931 second run at 331.76 to earn his first Funny Car win at Texas Motorplex.

In pro stock, Dallas Glen capped off an historic weekend, which included setting the quickest pass in pro stock history on Saturday.

Won the final round, reclaimed the category's points lead.

It's going to be Saturday, October 24th from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Freedom Factory in Bradenton, Florida.

And then, of course, we will close out the Subifest or the Subi event series with Subifest Texas on Saturday, December 12th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas.

So you've got a couple of months before Subifest Texas comes around.

If you are in the Texas area or you want to come out to Subie Fest Texas.

And this is also a new location for Subie Fest Texas.

The last three years, it was at Lone Star Park.

This year, it's going to be again at Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas.

So if you attended the last three years, make sure that you know that it's in a different spot this year.

But with that in mind, let's nerd.

In our episode earlier this week, I promised that I would be back with another Nerd Out update later in the week, basically to bring us up to speed with what happened on the divisional end of the Stampede of Speed at the Texas Motorplex.

That was the Tuesday race.

And honestly, I was primed for some fireworks.

As I mentioned before, Joe Carnichal is there and presumably would love to get in the way of that happening.

We'll see if we get some drama in the form of a head-to-head matchup in Competition Eliminator.

As of right now, Tuesday afternoon when I record this, stock Eliminator may be the single most intriguing category here on Thursday at the Texas Motorplex for a couple of reasons.

Number one, Cooter Hidalgo and Michael Brand locked horns.

Mm-hmm.

Um, you know West Buck's bringing the World Series right here to Tex- uh, to Texas Motorplex.

Um-

What is the date on that? The, has he announced that?

It runs from 11:00 to 5:00, and admission is free.

[upbeat music] Now from dancing to dragsters, the NHRA Texas Fall Nationals are roaring through the Texas Motorplex in Ennis.

We're talking top fuel machines packing 12,000 horsepower, a bit more than my RAV4.

Qualifying continues Saturday with the big elimination rounds on Sunday.

It's not enough time to see Barcelona, if I'm being honest.

Uh, the NHRA is at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas for the Texas Fall Nationals.

Assume I'm, I'm pronouncing that correctly, Ennis.

Mm.

But we're gonna finish this segment by going from the little neighborhood drag strip to the other end of the spectrum.

Texas Motorplex in Ennis is hosting the Stampede of Speed, which is the NHRA Fall Nationals October the 9th through the 18th.

Now, the Motorplex isn't a small town strip.

It's really not, but it's close.
