Because in him, Hashem chose, uh, from all of your shvatim, "La'amod l'shareis b'shem Hashem hu uvanav kal hayamim." When it comes to Trumah, meaning that even if two Yidden own property, it doesn't exempt them from the Chiruv of giving Trumah.
