Terry Virgo

Wendy Virgo is an author, speaker, mum of five, grandmother of maybe 22.

She's been married to Terry Virgo since 1968 and has journeyed alongside him from the early days of New Frontiers as it grew into a worldwide church planting movement.

Wendy has written extensively for Christian Women and has spent decades encouraging women to discover their identity, gifts and calling.

I've had the chance to see Building God's House, A Life of Terry Virgo, which is written by Andy Johnston, which is the story, the biography of your husband.

It's just come out, hasn't it? And I realise that you come into this on page 82, I think, is it? 82.

We like to sit down here on The Profile with a different guest every week and hear something of their life story.

And I'm really pleased to say that my guest today is Terry Virgo.

Terry is the founder of Newfrontiers, which is an international network of over 1,500 churches across 60 nations.

And Terry is the author of a number of popular books, including God's Lavish Grace, Does the Future Have a Church?, and also his autobiography, No Well-Worn Paths.

But he is now the subject of a biography written by Andy Johnson, and it's called Building God's House: A Life of Terry Virgo.

It's just been published, and we're here to discuss that biography and, of course, Terry's own life story.

I should declare somewhat of an interest at the outset, and that is that I have been a elder in a Newfrontiers church and planted a church with that church network.

Um, wrote some outstanding books on revival and so on.
