It was like everything was c- the backgrounds were all kinda clay, hand-done clay stuff or something.

I think it's maybe still a thing in Bedrock, but it's not in Java anymore.

And it feels like Minecraft has become... maybe a bit more insulated from the broader sort of pop culture landscape which I think is a good thing in terms of it establishing its own identity but it means that it has to shut itself off from some of the ideas that are popular in other games just because they work quite well and they have that sort of iconography that you're able to co-opt in a parody fashion for games like World of Warcraft or games that can make a kind of cheeky wink and nod to some other game that's inspired them but you see that in Minecraft splash screens when it says also try Terraria but they're not just going to use an idea from Terraria because it was a good idea over there they want to have a sense of their own identity and a lot of the ideas coming from an internal place that works for Minecraft which is a difficult landscape to work in.

So that's part of really why I feel like the gem slot thing feels perhaps a little generic and could be broadened into something that feels closer to what Minecraft already has as part of its world.

Yeah, when you get down to it, I think the solution for me is probably an expansion on the player's person.

I actually, I will argue that I spent more time with this game than I did with Stardew Valley.

That surprises me because you like Terraria so much.

I went back into the Terraria dungeon, and I was able to run through it and get enough of the Dazzy Clouds, D-A-Z-Z-I, to make it... worthwhile to go through the whole thing and to make it so that I could upgrade my electricity.

I actually chose the option to upgrade my electricity to the capacity because the next thing I'm going

to have to get is a battery for it.

And there's a lot of thinking to it.

And it's really good.

Oh, the other thing about the Terraria Dungeon is that there's a lot of mushrooms in it, and I need mushrooms to upgrade.
