Termina

Uh, in our last episode, we completed the Great Bay Temple.

We did a little bit of sweep up, helped out some of the Zoras et al around Termina, and, uh, yeah, then we ended leading up into Ikana Canyon.

Um, now we've been to Ikanya, Ika- Ikanya...

I keep wanting to throw in a little Y in there.

The great apocalypse had come to an end.

And as the rainbow pulsed above Termina, The

shadows

danced.

Do you know what that means? Komev remained lying in the doorway, staring up with wide eyes.

It had been a long, long time since the witch had been awestruck.

The only thing she knew for certain was that Termina had changed and would never be the same again.

The witch hardly noticed when her mouth moved in response.

The idea of a spirit world is not completely unfounded in Zelda or in the kind of world lore we're talking about here, but it is definitely one of those more inconsequential worlds type of stories where it's all there.

It's all really more for a personal experience for Link to have, but it doesn't have any wide-reaching implications as opposed to Majora's Mask, which is... very much a link-centered type of narrative, which we'll get to, but still is connected enough or can be connected enough, depending on your interpretation of Termina, to where you can get connections to other worlds.

Yeah, that's fair.

He's still the hero, so we follow the hero.

Yeah, and I think this leads into a really interesting thought.

Termina.

What is everyone's thought on Termina? Like, there's two thoughts here.

Yeah, it's there.

I mean, Termina exists, and Labyrinthia, they all exist, Coal and Island.

may exist outside of a dream, and all those places could be revisited, but they all have their own history, and we've only seen a snippet of their time, just like Lorule.

What is Hilda doing now? What about her descendants? Is there a legacy there? And of course, the reveal of Lorule's version of Link, because it's a mirror image, and there is a Link in Lorule.

I love remakes, especially when it's a classic, it's a loved game, but I love it when they add something new.

It's not just a one-for-one where they cut content back in the game, or they have more time to flesh things out, or they add new stuff.

I'd love to see some kind of weird twist like that where or even even though obviously the rule would be cool, but but even just a hint to Termina thrown in there, like some kind of reference or something that directly links with Majora's Mask.

I think that'd be pretty cool.
