Tenafly

Around 1900, Dr. William Clark came to Cornwall and fell in love with the forest and the quiet country life.

Clark had been born in 1877 and grew up on a farm in Tenafly, New Jersey.

He later became a professor of surgery and taught at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons.

As well as earning a reputation as the leading cancer specialist in New York, he purchased 1,000 acres of land in the wilds of Connecticut, which included Dudleytown, and began construction of a summer and vacation home here.

I'd never played in New York City before.

And I was driving from lunch in Tenafly, New Jersey to a gig in Brooklyn and going over the George Washington Bridge and driving over the East Harlem River and driving into Manhattan and going, I'm doing this because I'm playing a show here.

We even made our way up to Tenafly-- Or sorry, New Jersey, just outside of New York.

Last week we were in Durham, North Carolina.

So we get outside the DMV a little bit.

I mean, that is a very, very stacked list for a soundtrack, especially of that time.

And then second point, just about the New Jersey-ness of it all, it was filmed in South Orange, Cranford, Livingston, Maplewood, Newark, Tenafly, Mahwah, Wallington, as well as New York and L.A. Why do they need so many locations?

I mean, where do you find a mansion, right? Yeah, no, I want to go back and trace what's where.

I mean, Tenafly, that's very close to home, so that's really cool.

Maybe I just need

to ask my real estate agent, because I have a mansion because of my silent Velcro and everything.

And I see myself in that a lot.
