I would point out, and I take the point you make about retirements, but we are back seeing garden numbers growing.

And again, you're right to focus on one class that came out of Templemore, I get that.

But if you look at it over a slightly longer period, we are now seeing garden numbers increasing at Cork.

We have a way to go, though.

I mean, there might be once a year there's a ceremony and you might see it in the newspapers and people are interviewed.

But the stories behind, I mean, I've been at ceremonies in Templemore and I've seen trainee guards with their jaws just dropping when they hear, when it's read out what's called the citation, what the medal's been awarded for, what instant.

And they're kind of looking, the students are looking to say, like, I can't believe he did that or she did that or am I expected to do that? Because it makes them think about their own like what they're joining when they join the guards, I think they don't realize perhaps until they see something like this, the dangers that they might potentially face in their own service.

Our story today absolutely exemplifies the dangers and the vital work that the underwater unit does.

I presume the ultimate aim is to have all of them to this standard? Of course.

So I suppose opening here in the next month or two will generate momentum because we've now opened Templemore and CAIR.

That shows the department that we're doing authority.

We're not talking, we're doing, we're achieving.

But I was warned.

October, probably one of the busiest months for nominations that we've had.

So those who are in the running for the sports star of the month are Templemore ladies football team, who won the county intermediate ladies football final against Ardfinnan.

Thurles Sarsfields, who won the county senior hurling and camogie finals in October.

Conor Fogarty, 15-year-old CR Ross Gray student who won the 2026 Motorsport Ireland Junior Rally Championship, becoming the first Tipperary driver to become a Junior Rally Champion.

So we sold up the public.

We were only, I think, 18, 19 when we got out and Colm has gone into Templemore then.

So we got out of the pub then and... just finished our school, as they say, and the others had gone on, Colin went to Templemore and then Deirdre went on to be a prison officer and Warwick went to college and ended up working in the airport.

And then I used to start working locally in Grady Windows at the time.

You must have great memories of the pub.
