Temperate coniferous forest

A couple of different supports you could offer your learners to help them be more successful could be symbols on the checklist to show which three pieces go together.

For example, you could use a little triangle next to Jack Pine, Heat Activated, and Coniferous Forest.

That way, when your learner got to the forest space, they would know to guess Jack Pine with the Heat Activated technique.

You could also print out strips of pictures of the seeds with their names, pictures of the dispersal techniques in their names, and pictures of the ecosystems and their names so that the learners could point to the things they're guessing so that all new readers could have an additional visual to reference.
