Sort of give a, a history of Mount Saint Vincent, what your role is, and what your experience has been.

The history of the Alexa McDonough Institute for Women, Gender, and Social Justice dates back to, uh, at least 2011, when it was the Institute for the Study of Women at the Mount, and then it was revitalized and renamed the Institute for Women, Gender, and Social Justice.

And then in 2013, in honor of Alexa McDonough, who was an interim president of the university, and as you know, a, a leading and trailblazing, uh, Canadian political figure and leader of the, uh, National Democratic Party, it became the Alexa McDonough Institute for Women, Gender, and Social Justice in 2013.

And so since that time, the institute has been committed to its vision, which is to undertake research that coordinates, supports, and build capacity among feminist researchers and ar- and creative artists at the Mount and other campuses and community groups and organizations.

And we are really committed to education by creating and offering programs and courses and providing gender perspectives in all disciplines.

So Tegan, how has the professional practice program played a role with your programming within your organization?
