Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze

I wore out the VHS tape.

I don't know if I've told this story before, but I know Thomas has heard it, but years ago when I was a little kid, my dad took me to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, The Secret of the Ooze.

Yes.

He didn't take me to go see it once.

No, no, no.

Not about the Secret of the Ooze.

I just messed up on that one.

yeah and that one i liked because it was subtle it was just there a little easter egg if but uh and if the brazil thing was intentional very subtle very deep dive very tiny easter egg we'll see this

one i don't think it was as long as the first one it was under two hours and bay films tend to be like two and a half uh you're right that it probably could have been trimmed down i i still found myself enjoying a are very different to the issues I have with Secret of the Ooze.

But I did have issues with Secret of the Ooze, the second, the 1990s film.

But my enjoyment of the parts I enjoyed, I'm sitting here wondering if I actually liked this one more than uh, ninja rap and talk on Mazar and super shredder.

Corey Feldman is back as Donatello after missing Secret of the Ooze.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, I wanna say, is when they get their new, 'cause they used to live in the sewers-

I still say, uh, it's, in terms of live action, it's still t- uh, Turtles that gets me the most hungry for pizza.

Do you remember the opening to the second live action movie, uh, Secret of the Ooze?

I've never seen it.

That is a better movie than the original.

Is it, though? Because the first one's so dark and gritty.

They're both PG movies, so this is a stupid comparison, but I think you'll know what I mean, and other millennials will know what I mean.

It's like the jump from Ninja Turtles to Secret of the Ooze, where it's like, yeah, this is still entertaining, but like... you're like but it's it's not that first one like that first one's like really good and then the second one is like really is like a lot sillier and a lot more like oh these guys are really popular so like we should really like point this in the direction of kids more than anything else um let's add a bunch of funny characters let's have them do funny bits uh you

know Significantly less bloody than RoboCop 1.

Right.

Okay, so for my number five, I picked Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, Turtles in Time.

This is my all-time favorite Ninja Turtles game, and it's just so much fun.
