Ted Weems

We've got dance bands, hot bands, sweet bands, show tunes, novelty tunes, blues, jazz, and more on everything from Aeolian to Xenophone and by everyone from Aronson to Zerky.

On this week's show, we've got birthday segments for Don Bester, Vincent Eumanns, Ted Weems, and Dave Dreyer.

But we're going to start the show with another episode of One Thing in

Common.

That's from Victor 21610, May June 18th, 1928.

I'm Glenn Robison and the show is Rapidly Rotating Records.

This and all of our previous shows are also available 24-7, Yesterday, September 26th, marked the birth in 1901 in Pecairn, Pennsylvania, of bandleader Ted Weems.

While in high school, he played violin in the West Philadelphia Symphony, and while attending the University of Pennsylvania, played trombone in the dance band.

All right.

I've played this by Perry Como before when he was with the Ted Weems band.

I don't think I've ever played Al Bowley.

And in my little red book.
