In the AA's studios, this makes her, depending on who you ask, either the most exciting student of her generation or an indulgence that will never survive contact with an actual client, an actual site, an actual budget.

Her diploma project, developed across her final years at the school under Zenghelis and Koolhaas's supervision, becomes the proof that silences at least some of the doubt.

She takes as her subject a hotel, a proposal sited on and around Hungerford Bridge spanning the Thames, a location chosen precisely because it refuses domestication, because a bridge across a river is already, by its nature, a structure in a state of tension between two fixed points.

She titles the project after her presiding influence, Malevich's Tectonic.
