Tecopa

Sure.

I live, um, in the eastern Mojave Desert, about halfway between Las Vegas and Death Valley, in a little town called Tecopa, where I grew up.

It's not for everybody.

It's about-

for the stratified rocks alone.

The dissected playa or lake beds in Amargosa Valley between Shoshone and Tecopa contain elephant remains that are Pleistocene.

Rainbow Mountain is one of the geological showplaces of the Death Valley region.

Here the Amargosa River has cut a canyon a thousand feet deep.

The village of Tecopa is 11 miles south of Shoshone.
