Teck Resources

Teck Resources

Teck is a base metals miner with copper and zinc operations in Canada, the United States, Chile, and Peru. After selling its metallurgical coal business, copper is now its major commodity by EBITDA contribution, followed by zinc. Teck is a top-three zinc miner. Its major new copper mine in Chile at the majority-owned Quebrada Blanca 2, in partnership with Sumitomo, will drive an increase in Teck's attributable copper production by roughly 75%. Along with a number of additional copper growth options, Teck's strategy is to rebalance its portfolio to low-carbon metals such as copper. It sold its oil sands business in early 2023 and its coal business in mid-2024. In September 2025, it agreed to merge with Anglo American.www.teck.com

And, you know, some people would say we, we had safe meterage and, you know, we're kinda drilling where we know, knew was, you know, mineralization and we, we did small little step outs.
Anthony MoreauGUEST

So those, that was safe drilling.

So I think it is a very nice, uh, backdrop, uh, for the copper market, and I'm, you know, comfortable as an investor, and most com- investors should be comfortable, um, at the current price.
Greg FerronGUEST
3:42
And I think that positions, you know, uh, buying in producers or developers and ultimately the big companies like BHP and Teck and the cop- copper traders will dictate the price, right? If they want, if they wanna have a $10 copper to finance new production that we need in five years, 10 years, that's what's gonna happen.

This is an intrusion-related gold system." And at the time, I-- the, the whole story is, uh, Bill went to the guy who was the VP exploration of Teck, and Teck was a ten percent owner of Midas Gold at the time, and said at a PDAC, um, took the guy aside and said, "Hey, I know you've invested in this.
