As the mist dried then thickened, I saw the impossible.

You know, my son is a brilliant, Technician.

He works for one of the large companies in entertainment doing coding.

And he's making a lot of money, very successful.

他都是听信我的话。是啦，他说，呃，听了你们前两集的 Podcast，我们一般呢是会每个 shot 都做 live back up 的。每天 shoot finish 离开个 location 之前呢，一定是我身上有两套，producer 身上有一套，助手身上有一套的资料啦。那么然后另外再加多一套完全不动的 memory card 在 equipment 的 pelican 的那个 kip 里面，啊，才会离开那个 location 的。而且呢，拎 data 的人一定是要分开车坐喔，哇，好，好稳阵啊。如果 overseas 的话呢，就一定要分酒店房哦。出去吃饭的时候呢，那套 data 都会跟身的。因为我们试过呢在拉斯维加斯被人爆了间酒店房，偷光了器材，所以器材事小，啊起码有买保险啊，但是 data 就事大，一定要跟身。还有呢，他说回到酒店呢，通常都会 upload 回多一套 data 呢去公司的 NAS 那里的。那么 live back up 呢都会是用这个 Free Filesync 啦，我上次介绍过的那个，呃，就是 open source 的那个 app 啦。那么另外呢就是，呃，大的 shooting 呢，或者是 production 呢，一般呢 都会有一个叫做 DIT 的岗位的，就是 Digital Imaging Technician 的岗位。那么他呢，就全日都会坐定定，只是做 data management，因为呢，他要计算 backup 的时间啦，还有速度啦。还有呢，如果譬如拍 RED 啊，或者拍 ARRI 这些这么专业的机的，多机拍摄的时候呢，要直拍到 SSD 呢，他都会计算，利用这个，譬如 Thunderbolt 啊，过 data 的话呢，多久时间可以 release 回一只 SSD 出来给哪一部机用的。那么要 mark 得好清楚，哇，好专业啊这些 [笑声]。所以真的，就是他说，因为太害怕死了，就是如果有什么事情，承担不了，就是有什么意外呢。

是啊，pro-production cost 呢，很贵嘛，你知道拍-拍一套影片也好，什么都好啦，那么不只是你出摄影师的 effort 嘛，可能还有其他工作人员啊，啊，什么演员啊、化妆师啊、灯光师啊，几十个不同岗位呢，那么那里的工资都很贵的。那么所以就，这个真是大家可以-
