So there's platforms like, uh, I think it's called Tech Meme.

They collect and summarize news reports from various publishers.

I think, you know, first and foremost, I would, um, I spend a lot of time just looking at reading publications like, you know, what's on TechCrunch, what's on, uh, Techmeme, um, trying to just understand, um, how are companies, what are, how, how are, how are technology providers adapting? Uh, how are companies using, uh, AI? That's one.

The second one is actually you learn a lot via speaking with, with, with others in the community, right?

Mm-hmm.

Each morning, I write a bit about whatever's on my mind.

Then I add notable news links from Techmeme to the bottom of my journal and tag them.

The result is that when I'm writing a story or preparing for a podcast, I can click a tag like labor and instantly see all the stories I've saved on that subject since I started building this system a couple years ago.

This has been enormously helpful in planning our current podcast miniseries on AI and productivity since we discuss jobs news on each episode.
