Teaneck

It was just a call list.

"Hey, we need to go to Johnny's cousin's sister's brother's bar in Teaneck.

They think they got some stuff going on.

Are you available Saturday the 5th?" "No." Call the next guy.

And you Staten Island folks, you love telling me to never forget.

And here's the government forgetting about the people that were crucial to helping in rebuilding Lower Manhattan and potentially finding victims and clearing rubble and risking their lives every single day from any of the photos that you look in the subsequent days, including that story you told of that guy who walked home from where he was living, excuse me, from Lower Manhattan to Teaneck, New Jersey, covered in ash, soot, probably breathing that stuff in the entire way through.

Who knows what happened to that guy? Not only would I love for you to obviously recall that story very briefly, but I mean, I'll never forget.

But also, what do you make of now this information that's coming out, the timing of it? Because the Adams administration, you had de Blasio.

And again, now to anyone my age, like people understand this, Blockbuster video, you go in, there's videotapes on the wall, all that stuff.

anyone younger than like in their early 30s or earlier um have made have no concept of this anyway and i think i went that day just because it was a local friend of mine and i knew he was working that night so i went to go see him and it was just the two of us in the store like we're basically closing the store um and this and the guy walked in as you mentioned he had come in He had walked across the GWB.

And if you're familiar with Teaneck, New Jersey, it's one of the first towns off the George Washington Bridge.

So he'd come in, and it was almost like a dystopian Norman Rockwell painting.

In the five towns, you'll find parking easily.

In other areas, Englewood and Teaneck, you're going to find parking easily.

Here's another memory in a text.

Growing up in Teaneck, my fondest back-to-school ritual was walking with friends a few days before to one of the main commercial strips to buy a new binder and other school supplies from a store called County Discount.

Yeah, a number of them are about shopping preschool.

We had the one about clothing, this one about school supplies.

So I have two degrees from a wonderful university, and I'll give a shameless plug.

It's Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey.

and I wound up going there at night and working during the day.

So, so when I discovered basketball, my, my father was from Queens and then he went to Teaneck high school in New Jersey.

He took a transfer to Minnesota when I was five, I fell in love with the Vikings and I, he wanted us to play baseball.

He liked Willie Mays and my brother and I took the hoops and I was playing since second grade.
