Teancum

Teancum, a true friend to liberty.

The heart of a warrior, the bonds of brotherhood, and the ultimate sacrifice.

Some men's names survive because they conquered nations.

It recounts the history, faith, and struggles of ancient peoples in the Americas and stands as another testament of Jesus Christ.

Its pages contain remarkable accounts of leadership, courage, sacrifice, and the struggle to preserve freedom.

One such account is the story of a warrior named Teancum.

I have wanted to tell Teancum's story for a very long time.

The Book of Mormon has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and among its many accounts, something about this particular man has always commanded my attention.
