With some painstaking work, they readied the cassettes for release, which included individual hand-drawn covers.

We bought cassette tapes, you know, TDK or Maxell or whatever there was in those days.

But they were all from 60 minutes, 90 minutes tapes.

But my album was 18 minutes on each side.

God, we love those cassettes.

The TDK D90s were just so famous.

So then back in London in sort of 81, 82, what was the kind of, what scene did you, were you still into sort of You know, indie pop or were you into sort of new romantic stuff at this stage? I'm not really

sure if there was a I think because of my disappointment with the band, I decided that I didn't want to be waiting for people to turn up to rehearsal or someone was ill or, you know, the sort of chaos that can sometimes happen.

you had a band like Stump as well, who also came along.

And, you know, I just remember as an indie kid, putting my trusty TDK D90 cassette into the John Peel show.

And, you know, you've got an awful lot of different music from the Bundy Boys to the Public Enemies to... Roxé Chanté to you know all the bands that we've just mentioned really there was there was a little bit of a scene and they were all coming over touring as well which made life very easy for us.

The thing about Stump was what for me was what Kev Hopper did with that bass and you know he got sounds out of that and he played it in a way that was just so different to anybody else and It was one of these things.

That was awesome.

Without it disrupting the weight of the whole entire thing? Yeah, TDK was behind that.

So yeah, I tried to get later chrome dioxide, you know, but metal, very few.

For your experience, the Tormentor Anno Domini, when we had it, I bought the metal TDK MX.

I think it was an MX-60.

I bought.

And then Zsolt came to the band, the new, the drummer in 87. uh who is still with us and that was a major change because he came from the hardcore scene and he was he's a great painter artist you know everything he he brought this new element you know to the band and then we started to use more costumes and more theater style you know and then he just recorded eight anno domini and then in the 90s it was just over we didn't know but we already had like a thousand people crowd easy in hungary it was really crazy actually but we were also too young no manager really so nobody told us that you should keep going and i think also the guitarist had to go to military like back in the days it was a mandatory so we all tried to escape so but he couldn't and um That kind of like made us stop eventually in like 90.

That's the Tormentor story.

And then Mayhem straight away just invited me because of the tape I told you, the TDK mix.

We started to record that tape to other people when the album was not released.
