Andy Beanish and Taylor Crabb complete the California sweep.

Start off with a win in Huntington, win Manhattan, win Hermosa, win Laguna.

On domestic soil they were undefeated as far as tournaments go, only with one match lost.

And so I hopped on the first flight I could.

We jumped out this morning with a serve and pass with Andy Benesh and Taylor Crabb.

And so tomorrow, I'll be jumping in the main draw.

Uh, right now we're seeded 10 to play Cody Caldwell.

But as far as heritage events, league, this is the finale.

Um, so we got some storylines coming in.

First off the bat, starting with the men, Andy Benesh, Taylor Crabb.

So far they have the California Sweep, won AVP Huntington Beach, won AVP Manhattan Beach, won the Wedbush Hermosa Open, and then now they're trying to make it four for four in California with Huntington.

They're really good.

That Taylor Crabb's fantastic, and, and et cetera, et cetera.

But it's on this much smaller court, and it's point per serve, so it's, it's two extremes.

Yeah.

Uh, so a huge shout-out to Mark for putting on that event.

A decent prize money for the winners, 15K to split for Kelly Chang and Megan Kraft and Andy Benesh and Taylor Crabb.

And so just before we get into any of that, just a, a massive thank you, a shout-out.

Um, I love doers.

Not a Crabb boil, it's a Crabb feast.

Uh, so they go back, rematch in the finals with Partain and Le Boulier.

Two points in, Jacob rolls his ankle, he can't go, forfeit dub for Andy Benesh and Taylor Crabb.

Now, I don't want the forfeit to take anything away.

Um, so that is update number one.

Uh, and then also I will be, when I'm in Hermosa, uh, per the request of Taylor and Trevor Crabb, I will be recording an episode with the Crabb brothers.

Uh, just to give you a little teaser, it is about the Norceca Championship Qualifier that happened in Manhattan Beach the other day, where Taylor Crabb and Andy Benesh, they make the finals up against the number one seed, Chase Budinger and Trevor Crabb, and it came back-- came down to a big [microphone thuds] rock, paper, scissors battle.

Uh, and we're gonna chat about why they did a rock, paper, scissors, um, and, uh, and what's going on there.

So, uh, pop your popcorn and get ready for that one.

I think at the elite level or really any level, players should be pretty equal and adept at playing either side.

I have a hard time believing that the side that Taylor Crabb or Anders Mol is on is going to make that much of a difference." For...

You know, it's, it's actually funny that you say at the elite level it shouldn't make a difference.

At the elite level is when it's gonna make most of the difference because those are where the tiniest percentages are gonna make all the difference.

Um, so e- everyone just has sort of a preference.

It's not as strong as being left or right-handed, but there is a preference there.

And, yeah, you, like Taylor Crabb is gonna be able to play left, right, whatever, and he's gonna be fine.

Most defensive players are able to switch a little bit more seamlessly because they have to play both sides in transition anyway.
