And now I just Kevin Warsh is always looking for some task force or some more data to look at things and get a better perspective.

But Iran decided to step into the mix, throw a little bit of shade at the United States right before this meeting.

Iran mocked the U.S. by saying interest rate hikes cannot reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

We care much about the implications on the demand side of the economy and ultimately on the supply side of the economy.

I care so much.

I think it's so important that we establish a task force that should report by the end of the year to help us think about the implications for our future policy conjuncture.

But the policy decisions that are made about the risks and rewards, the challenges and opportunities, those are decisions made by other parts of the government.

My name is Lorraine McGowan, and I'm pleased to serve as the co-chair of the task force, and I'm also a partner at Orrick Harrington and Sutcliffe.

Today's topic is AI in law practice, the opportunities, challenges, and best practices.

As you all know, AI is transforming how lawyers practice on transactional matters, litigation, and court proceedings, but with that transformation comes significant responsibility.

Over the Labor Day holiday weekend, the Prescott Valley Police Department conducted several impaired driver enforcement operations as part of its ongoing effort to reduce impaired and dangerous driving and keep motorists safe.

Task Force officers concentrated enforcement efforts in several high-traffic areas throughout the community based on crash data and community complaints, including State Route 69, Glassford Hill Road, and State Route 89A.

Throughout the weekend, officers conducted more than 200 traffic contacts while actively looking for impaired, aggressive, reckless, and otherwise dangerous drivers.

As a result of these enforcement efforts, officers made five DUI arrests.

But maybe I can just pick your mind before we draw this conversation to a close on maybe how you are beginning to, I guess, see some key issues going forward and thus how they might be informing your position.

you know for example at ict week and even how uh the the region is represented internationally so and i think one of them for example is um just generative ai so a lot of the llms right now and local data governance which is going to be part of the agenda for for ict week um And how are you seeing, and we actually had a conversation recently about the regional AI, the report coming out of the regional AI task force.

But the whole issue, I think, of being responsible with AI and trying to do so without creating wider digital divides.

How do you think we can go about being responsible in our use of AI, but also ensuring, though, that the digital divides that exist already are not exacerbated? Because you do need to have resources.

It goes towards supporting ICT.

the development of the region and new and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence that you mentioned.

We at the CTU, we coordinated with the Caribbean AI Task Force and produced a report just last month, I think it was.

September.

What? Yeah, my First Sergeant and the platoon sergeant were guys from Black Hawk Down.

Okay.

Why don't we move to the approval chain and the CAD Task Force sign-off? So coming back to that June 23rd date, that was when the working group had its vote.

But you said, if approved.

This had to climb up the ladder, right? So walk us through what happened next.

That's right.

So the NAIC rules require any RBC changes that are adopted by a working group, such as the RBC IRE working group, have to also be adopted by the Capital Adequacy Task Force, which is like the parent group over the working group.

And that's sometimes we call it the CAP-AD Task Force for short, but the CAP-AD Task Force is responsible for overseeing the RBC system.

and that the Capital Adequacy Task Force needs to approve any changes by June 30th in order for them to be effective for the 1231 RBC calculation of that same year.

Byrd was officer in charge of the Antarctic Developments Program.

Rear Admiral Richard H. Cruzen was commander of Task Force 68.

Those are two different jobs and only one of them involves running the ships.

Cruzen, who'd had an actual recent polar experience because he was on the 1939 expedition, commanded the operation.

And that is the single most useful sentence for understanding this entire operation.

And it explains almost everything the conspiracy version finds a little suspicious.

So the task force went south and tested things.

They tested cold weather gear.
