Dan Novikoff, the left tackle, was the man who opened the gate for Denny Allen, the junior from Ashtabula, Ohio.

Now, a game that you and I talked about before, and we're just trying to figure out – Tascosa and Petey.

Petey's favored by seven, and I don't have a clue.

But we haven't seen consistent PD yet.

And we saw what Tascosa did against Canyon last week.

So, again, I think this is going to come down to who wins the physicality in the trenches, which is a very cliche thing to say.

Uh, Westover, moved to Amarillo District to, uh, Austin, and then went to Tascosa, um, and then Amarillo College, WT, and graduated from WT with a, a bachelor's in broadcast journalism.

And, um, I did, like they ended up having me be the person who shot video for the pep rallies, uh, and things like that.

His dad is like a Mike Leach clone.

Joseph Plunk's dad, I think, is the head coach at Amarillo-Tascosa out there in West Texas or in Amarillo away.

But Joseph Plunk is on the staff as well, and he was one of your special teams guys and the chess player and all the things, but he's on their staff.

Then you've got all these players.

And now he's part of a Permian defense that looked really good in week one.

We didn't talk a ton about it, but Permian very much looked the part last week in what I thought was a really impressive victory over Amarillo Tascosa 38-7.

And the defense looked really good.

They allowed just 133 yards to Tascosa.

But this, this week, is a different animal because Permian goes on the road to Killeen to take on Parker Heights.

and the Hudson Humble experience.

Casey Walraven and Huddo, they're going to score a lot of 50.

50 is probably, you know, that's the average that Huddo's going to score, okay? Permian, they go on the road and actually at home, excuse me, they They drill Amarillo-Tascosa, 38-7.

Tascosa overmatched in this game.

Permian, this is one of the bigger Permian teams I've seen.

Okay, there you go.

Speaking of trying to bounce back, man, you know, we wondered how well Odessa Permian was, or how well Tascosa could play with Odessa Permian.

Hey, the mojo's legit, 38-7.

You see how big they are? Did you see any video of this? No.

The Randall Showcase was going on.

Randall and Canyon both go 4-0 during the tournament.

Randall gets wins over San Angelo, Vega, PD, and Tascosa.

Canyon with four wins over Tascosa, Shallow Water, PD, and Lubbock Cooper Liberty.

Uh, he, he can really get it done.

But I, I just think Tasco- Tascosa and Amarillo High, they don't have those superstars back.

Amarillo High's defense is gonna be legit.

If they can hold the water until this offense gets better, 'cause do, do the math.

You've got people working hard all the time, and there's 200 and, like, 43 Amarillo High Sandies in that program.

You have depth galore where that is gonna play out in this district.

I moved Tascosa to two.
