Tarrytown

I can't wait to learn.

But firstly, to settle something that I'm not sure I ever truly realized, but I think you said, and I'm sure you Darklings are well aware of, the once rural Sleepy Hollow was originally incorporated as North Tarrytown in the late 19th century.

It's a way to draft off of the success of nearby Tarrytown during the Industrial Revolution.

So it was incorporated finally, even later than the neighboring area, and but it was incorporated as North Tarrytown, not Sleepy Hollow.

Right.

But the village adopted that name, its current name, in 1996, three and a half centuries after the first Dutch settlers were just calling the area Slappers Haven or Sleepers Harbor.

I went twice.

Driving up to Tarrytown.

I was in Tarrytown for a rally with the Democratic nominee, Kate Conley.

And she had some Democratic firepower of Pete Buttigieg.

I visit them regularly.

I grew up not far from there on the other side of the Hudson, and my dad commuted through Tarrytown to get to work.

The legend of Sleepy Hollow loomed very large in my life.

So thank you for writing a book about this.

So it's not like nonstop spooky there.

If you show up on a Wednesday in October 15th, there's probably nothing to do there.

And a lot of the activities to do are outside of Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown.

So if you want to do a lot of things, you have to plan very well.

We went outside the city.

We took the metro north up to Tarrytown, New York, which is like a 40 minute train ride.

outside the city and it was so freaking cute it was like I knew that it wasn't going to be like super fall vibes because it's just like not fully the season yet but we went into this bar to have a drink at one point and we were like talking to the bartender and he was like you should come back up like in October like it gets they decorate it it's super Halloweenified and like really cute it was such a cute little town it honestly reminded me of like Stars Hollow kind of

He also plays drums for Good Witch, Bad Witch, a cabaret show featuring current and former actors from Wicked.

Steve played drums for off-Broadway shows Under the Bodhi Tree, Royal Family Theater, About Love, Sheen Center, and Tarrytown.

Currently, Steve is the drummer with Four Phantoms in Concert, a touring performance featuring former actors from Phantom of the Opera.
