Tarragon Theatre

Here's another anniversary note for October 27th.

It's actually seven years to the day that the original stage production of Yaga finished its run on Toronto's Tarragon Theatre.

So she's Canadian, the show's Canadian, but Yaga's are not Canadian.

Three comparisons that I want to give to this TV show right off the bat.

My guests are Annie Luján and Veronica Hortiguela, the creators and performers of the hit show Monks.

They are just about to start presenting Monks at the Tarragon Theatre from October 20th to November 8th, a triumphant return from their massive success in the, at the Edinburgh Fringe, as well as their previous successes both at Toronto Fringe and remounts at Crow's and the Theater Center.

This show just wins people over every time it runs.

So just the fact that they were able to be as successful as they were at the Edinburgh Fringe and now returning home to Toronto, the Tarragon Theatre, which is actually the theater where they first performed Monks at the Toronto Fringe.

So it's a homecoming in many different ways.

This is such a fun conversation, and I hope you enjoy it.

Who knows?

Yeah.
