We know that she made references to Texas, so a blonde Texan hitchhiker at that time would attract attention, so she was chatted to by these road workers and then she headed north, probably, um, by hitchhiking.

I found a witness in, uh, that I spoke to in the book who is sure that he saw her the following day in Taree.

And so that's not a confirmed sighting, but the information that he gave me was extraordinary, down to describing clothing that he couldn't have known that she had with her.

But I found out that she did have these exact, uh, types of clothing with her.

So the last official sighting Sydney, but I reckon she made it at least to Taree, and probably to Kempsey, and, uh, we know from her letters and her mother's letters that there were people who think that they saw her and spoke to her in Kempsey as well.

Um, and that's also the last known location of another couple, also thought to have been abducted by Milat, um, at- at almost d- within months of Barbara.

So, uh, we think, I- I think that Kempsey was probably her final destination.

Uh, and I mean, there may have been, I- I think he was absolutely responsible for others as well.

For someone who's never been to Taree before, what do you want them to experience when they go to the Taree Country Festival?

just this culture of the town it's beautiful um something that i i'm very passionate about and and definitely we're on the river so it's yeah but there's just a different feel when you come to tari and like for me bringing this to uh you know to tari and being able for everyone to come together as a community is something that i've always wanted to do especially in community and didn't know what it was but then obviously when mara foundation comes about and then um you know we've been thought, you know, what's better than, you know, doing a, let's just make it a big fundraiser and something for the community to enjoy than Atari Country Festival and a rodeo.

You've got a lovely house.

Well, I live in between Foster and Taree.

It's 20 minutes to Foster or 20 minutes to Taree, and I'm looking out over the ocean now.

So the bypass, that means you don't have to go through Hexham.

Is that what

We were created to be in that community.

Even now here in Taree, even in Coffs Harbour and Gloucester, in our online community, man, we are made to be in community.

As a faith family, we are created to be part of something, to be part of the family of God.

And we read in our passage in Corinthians, in verse 18, God has put each part just where He wants it.

Next month, we've had approval from the Port of Adelaide and Enfield Council in South Australia for two.

I think we've got one going in in the Manning and Taree, and we've already had one put in internationally in Scotland on the Isle of Bute, and we had to crowdfund funds to put one in at Tunbridge Wells in the UK, so that's underway as well.

So, yeah, it does take some time, particularly if it's, and mostly in Australia, it is a council environment.

So it's about getting a notice of motion put up.
