Tapasvin, one who possesses

Vaktapas or vocal discipline.

So Sruti there is the theoretical knowledge.

Therefore, he says that , that he has studied the Shastra, which are establishing the knowledge of Sankhya, Yoga, Tapasya, Viragya, et cetera.

And the word Vidya means, that knowledge which has dispelled the Avidya.

So this is important to understand that when we have theoretical knowledge, that does not remove the ignorance.

So he can give up everything for knowledge.

Kshatriya can, and he is saying that he can do Tapasya when it comes to fighting.

So Vasya, for money he can travel the corner of the earth.
