Tanya Reynolds

This is from the second season of the Netflix show, Sex Education.

And in this clip, Lily, played by Tanya Reynolds, tells her girlfriend, Ola, played by Patricia Allison, about her painful condition.

Sorry.

Did I do something wrong? No.

I think everyone in it is phenomenal.

I think Tanya Reynolds is so good.

But it's the last one,

isn't it? Oh.

And there was none of that kind of calculus.

And in one episode, not just because Tanya Reynolds is insanely talented or the writing was good, but the combination of the two and everything around it, she arrived fully formed as if she had been there the whole time.

One of the drums that Kathy was beating all season long on Football is Life was the importance of the female characters on the team and giving them more time to breathe.

And I was so grateful that we got that more and more throughout the season.

I can't remember her name.

Tanya.

Tanya Reynolds.

Tanya Reynolds, yeah.

From Sex Education.

Anyway, so yeah, these are kind of the new people that are coming back to Pittsburgh.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah, similarly, the female assistant coach, Al- Alice Chilton, played by Tanya Reynolds, she, wh- what an incredible story arc she had as well.

Like, yeah.

It's, it's awesome, and there's also a Star Wars Easter egg in Ted Lasso.

There's feuding Irish sisters, a bedraggled single mother as team captain, and a superstar who suffers a major knee injury, and they all emerge from one-note creations into fully formed characters through the season.

The best new addition of all, though, is definitely Tanya Reynolds as Coach Alice Chilton, who initially gets suspended by Ted for her dark attitude until she, of course, rallies.

Reynolds, of Sex Education fame on Netflix, delivers easily the best character on season 4, and she's just a joy to watch.

Telling you much more would be spoiling things, but just know they cut way down on the unnecessary plot tangents, with the only one this season featuring usually reliable Tracey Ullman.

Did anyone else think that was going to be a framing episode? thing for the show

it felt like it but yeah it was yeah it okay but and so here was another and see i'm sort of probably sound like i didn't enjoy it i did but i did think it drifted the new manager um boots what she called jude mack as katie boots quinn no that's not her that's the goalkeeper tanya reynolds tanya reynolds Alice.

I didn't see anything in the series that...

When it came to the end of the series and the twist is...

I think she's the biggest name of all the women in the team.

The ones who are in the team.

Tanya Reynolds again to a younger generation.

You know, the sex education...

I laughed a little.

I really in particular enjoyed Tanya Reynolds is a great new addition to the cast.

She was very funny in the finale as well.

And we don't I don't think know if there's going to be another season yet, but they certainly set it up for more if they want to come back.

But that's the basic setup.

He's got a brand new team, a brand new assistant coach played by Tanya Reynolds, Coach Alice Chilton, who is as abrasive as she is brilliant and driven.

And we also have a new maybe possible antagonist in the form of comedy legend Tracy Ullman.

Hijinks ensue for 10 more episodes.

But I want to focus on the new characters.

Is there anyone in the new cast that really stood out to you all as a fresh new addition to this season?

Yeah, I think Tanya Reynolds as Alice very much stood out to me.

Having been a fan of hers from Sex Education, I was very excited that she was cast in this.
