Tampa Museum of Art

So I've been in the industry for the past 16 years.

I started right out of college as an intern at Tampa Museum of Art, working and catering with Mise en Place.

Oh, wow.

We were just talking about that.

Yeah.

Yeah.

yeah the river walk you know having the ability to just kind of hang out on the lawn walk down the river walk go you know you could all get all the way to tampa museum of art all the way to the convention center so people will park and just spend the entire day walking up and down the river walk yeah oh that's nice and then you know rooftop 220 is you know the view that everybody wants of the entire skyline right i've done a lot of I was going to say you're

a pro up there.

You're gonna hear about how a grassroots organization in Tampa Bay is making bracelets to raise money for immigrant families.

But first, the Tampa Museum of Art is featuring works by modern art master David Hockney.

Hockney died in June.

He's considered one of the most influential and recognizable artists of the 20th and 21st centuries, who worked across painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, and digital media, and 140 of those works are now on view at the Tampa Museum of Art.

WSF's Kathy Carter took a look at the show.

It's called David Hockney: Perspective Should Be Reversed, and she talked with museum curator Joanna Robotham.

To look at somebody who is creating something with just his full heart is something that I think I will truly take away from this show, and I hope our audience does as well.

Joanna Robotham, it was a pleasure spending time with you.
