Tampa Heights

From somewhere in the room came the faint sound of a radio playing a weather report.

A man's voice, crackling with static, warned of rising floodwaters in Tampa Heights.

The date he gave was August 13th, 2004.

I stepped inside.

And, you know, Water Street being right in the center of it, connecting downtown and Ybor.

it's now its ridership is obviously spiked because it's free people are actually using it now to get to work and get to an event or game or what have you um and there's a plan to modernize it as you said extend the extend the uh the route up into seminal heights and tampa heights which are other historic neighborhoods that are seeing some you know they're quite quite a bit of resurgence So that's exciting.

The challenge we have is we're still in the state of Florida, not known necessarily for robust transportation planning or expenditures in terms of the urban planning.
