It's interesting when you say that because I did study Indiana a bunch prior to last season because I wanted to run some nontraditional Tampa, so we studied them.

But this is the deal, man.

They – How they are taught, I think, is you've got to beat me first.

You know what I mean? I got you.

So you can look at the Eagles and be – the Eagles have been running the same system, but if you got pro bowlers and all pros all over the field, you can run – Base Tampa 2 now.

But if you got dudes everywhere, then they're going to be like, hey, man, the new trend in the league is Base Tampa 2.

What Flores has figured out is he ain't got the talent that other people got.

So he's just making you work harder.

I still think he's just more of a traits guy than he is an actual football player.

You just, they haven't gotten very schematically creative because Leonard doesn't trust the guys to execute, but they've done a couple of like non-traditional Tampa's and Cole Bishop's like the cloud corner.

And he just has no feel for anybody that's around him.

Like there's just no spatial awareness.

So I don't care how they cook it up and how they dial it up or whenever they dial it.

Who said we can't get pressure out of the Tampa 2 look or whenever we just drop into these soft zones? I know it's going to be some stuff underneath and quick game is going to be a fact to it.

But win faster.

Like, you guys are so good.

That's where I think he could be beneficial.

I even made the case, Christian, in this game, I want to see more Tampa, too.

But it's going to be done with using Xavier Griffin.

I want to see Xavier Griffin because he has the range and the diversity that you want at playing Tampa 2.

And all of a sudden, those problems that you had in the middle of the field, you also have to make sure you can trust him to be able to drop back in coverage and do what he does.

But those passing lanes get really slim if you got someone like him that's getting in there and he has the potential to pick off a slant.

You've got the F on the leak curl underneath wide open.

You could have hit Matthew Golden right there if you wanted to, if you buzzed it inside, because Seven is flipping his hips and looking at the seam almost like a little bit of a Tampa look, right? So you had options, just a great play call, great play design by Matt LaFleur.

So I'm glad you brought up the coverage thing because I am a fan of the Tampa 2.

Lovie Smith excelled at the Tampa 2, the cover 2 in Chicago, but you got to have pass rushers.

And I think when you're talking about your zone coverage, like, you know, it's the soft coverage and everything.

You guys can play cover 2 and that zone coverage because you have pass rushers and

So how can he get into his bag and get more creative? Some of the creative stuff he is throwing.

i uh i guess my controversial take is i like when kyle hamilton plays in the post and in the deep man it's such a i i get it like the length and the size and what he is at the box but I also like how that length and size and athleticism plays deep and yeah, playing top down.

We can get to some cool.

Let's make him that top down, like robber, like slash, you know, quote unquote, pole runner and some non-traditional Tampa stuff.

Let's let him just play as a single high post safety.
