And Tamika, if you could leave one message for the next generation of black women and creatives, what would it be?

That's actually the question that I asked the young lady who was sitting opposite me.

And what I would say is know your power, embrace your power, do not be afraid of your power, and do not be afraid to make mistakes.

Because I think of perfection as poison, and the only way you learn is to make mistakes.

You have to allow yourself the grace and the space to make mistakes so that you can get better and build and rise and be your best self.
