But as Pastor Luke mentioned earlier in October, we had Help and Hope Week where many individuals and families and even groups went out and served together.

Our family were at Tamaki College.

I think we've got some photos that we'll put up there.

Our kids are actually in the top corner there.

They've always been here.

And the headhunters started down the road from me at Tamaki College as well.

But he got them involved, and I think it was Task Force Green.

They were working, and you should have seen the garden they had up on Mount Wellington.

I was at Tamaki College on Tuesday evening because the Tamaki electorate's one of the electorates that's really in play this election.

It was a candidates debate.

The whole evening was entirely run by year 13 students.

Year 13 students at Tamaki College, which is a school that used to be known as a Decile 1 school.

Hmm.

Um, so these kids, um, are not your kind of highly engaged sharpshooters you might expect if you're talking at a, at a kind of what you, what, what's people call it, elite schools at all.

In fact, 25 years ago, I lived close to G- uh, GI.

Um, so making sure that Tamaki College students have the same experience as or similar experience as Selwyn College and Glen Innes College and Sacred Heart is deeply personal to me.

I will lean in really hard and make sure that the levels that they want to hit are supported m- better.

So Tamaki College has a fantastic trades program.

I want to make sure that that's championed.

And that's deeply personal for me because I didn't come from much, and my father went through environments that were probably even more challenging, uh, than those situations.

Um, when I walk into those schools, I see my background, uh, and I wanna make sure, uh...

You ever beaten a, beaten, like, a professional at, like, their own game or at something?

Oh, so back in high school, Eli Katoa, he went to, uh, Tamaki College.
